Enabling Legislation Programme

The purpose of the programme is to strengthen the non-profit
sector's ability to:
- Challenge the structural causes of poverty;
- Continue to establish precedents on effective lobbying and communicate
the benefits of these to the sector;
- Make statutory funding (the NDA and lottery) more accessible to NPOs;
- Create a more institutionalised parliamentary presence to represent the
NGO sector's interests in relation to legislation that impacts on financial
sustainability;
- Create an enabling fiscal and legal environment for increasing revenue
and reducing expenditure;
- Create incentives for company and private giving;
- Have access to review adverse decisions, including judicial review;
- Regulate the sector in a pro-active and non-adversarial manner

The Enabling Legislation Programme
The Non Profit Partnership has extended the considerable networks, skills,
lobbying and advocacy capacity and competencies it has built up through the
Tax Campaign, to influence the range of legislation
that will impact directly or indirectly on your organisation's financial sustainability.
The purpose of the programme is to strengthen the non-profit

- Have access to review decisions adverse to the sector, including judicial
