The first major review in 30 years of the laws governing companies in SA is underway. Many non-profit organisations (NPOs) are currently incorporated under Section 21 of the Companies Act and the implications of the amendment of the Companies Act for these non-profit companies can not be overlooked. This brochure examines the implications and encourages Section 21 NPOs to provide us with their input into ensure that ammendments to this Act, make it easier to operate and comply with legislation in an efficient and cost-effective way.
