Capacity Building Training for NPOs

NPC conducts workshops nationally. By attending our workshops you will increase your awareness and understanding about legislation that impacts upon your sustainability, e.g. Income Tax Act. Through our workshops, we assist organisations to avoid the risk of legislative non-compliance by disseminating practical information that advances your organisations ability to sustain your development initiatives and programmes.

Specific topics will include:

• Legal structures commonly used by non-profit organisations,
• Principles of drafting a constitution,
• Registration and compliance with the Non-Profit Organisations Act,
• Legal duties of members of non-profit organisations,
• Legal Duties to comply with when non-profit organisations are employers,
• Tax benefits for non-profit organisations, and
• Accessing funding from the National Lotteries Board and the National Development Agency.
